This 1 oz .999 fine copper round features the intricate Aztec Calendar stone design on the obverse, depicting the sophisticated 52-year, 365-day cycle system with 18 twenty-day cycles aligned with a 260-day rotation. The reverse displays a portrait of Cuauhtemoc, the final Aztec emperor who ruled from 1520 to 1521 during the fall of Tenochtitlan. The Aztec Calendar assigned unique name and number identifications to every year and day, along with governing deities for each period, representing an advanced understanding of astronomy, mathematics, and spirituality.
